In the 10th Republica Miss Teen Nepal organized in Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi by Kathmandu Jaycees, 19-year-old Astha Shrestha was crowned the Miss Teen Nepal 2011 title. One of the 17 participants in the contest, Astha also won Miss Personality title.
The food technology student’s following answer to the judge’s question about her message to Nepali citizen won her the title:
We need to rise and fight and make Nepal a symbol of peace and prosperity.
17-year-old Paridhi Sharma from Shantinagar, Kathmandu won the first runner-up title. 18-year-old Shristi Saud of Baneshwar clinched the second runner-up title.
