ajita_singh_pink_dress Model Ajita Singh is a 5’6" tall model from Lalitpur. Ajita was the winner of Miss College Ambassador 2009-2010. She was also one of the top five in Miss Nepal 2010 contest.

Ajita has started her modelling career after the completion of BBA. To date, she had done four advertisement, three music videos and some stage shows.

Ajita likes reading newspapers and loves internet. Ajita had worked as a project manager for Group for Media Support, as a student member of faculty, research team Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) and as a group captain for marketing/organizational behaviour course (KCM). She had also received an appreciation letter for demonstrating Exceptional Leadership (KCM). Ajita is vegetarian and has dream to do Ph.D in economics, be a successful entrepreneur or a political figure in future.

Numa Kandangwa was first runner-up and Usha Rai became second runner- up.

Mr and Miss Nepal Australia 2012 (Application deadline Feb 29)

Application has opened for the second Mr and Miss Nepal Australia 2012. The last date of the acceptance of application is February 29, 2012.

The contest organizer United Nepalese Arts and Entertainment had also organized Mr and Miss Nepal Australia 2011 last year.

Prerequisites to participate in the contest are:

The applicant should be an unmarried male/female Nepali citizen.

Age should be between 18-30 years ( as on July, 2012).

Minimum academic qualification should be 10+2 or equivalent.

Minimum height must be 5ft 3inches (female) and 5ft 5inches (male)

Applicant should be attractive, possess should health and have good moral character.

Miss Teen Hetauda 2010

First ever Miss Teen Hetauda was organized as Oasis Miss Teen Talent Hunt 2010. The crown of Miss Teen Hetauda was awarded to Miss Pooja Shrestha. In the event organized in Hetauda’s Om Movie Hall, grade 11 student Pooja had been the top contestant among the total 39 participating teen beauties.

In the contest, Binju Maharjan was the first runner-up and Miss Sandipa Adhikari was the second runner-up.

Sumi Moktan of Kabhrepalanchowk won the title of Miss Tamang 2012 in an event held in Tundikhel on January 28, 2012.

Sumi is the fifth Miss Tamang to-date. The first Miss Tamang, Zenisha Moktan was successful in winning Miss Nepal crown in 2009.

Saujanya has acted in a number of big screen movies and is trying to leave a mark of herself in Nepali movies. Originally from Jhapa, she has acted in a number of music videos and modeled in some products.

If you are an unmarried female Nepali citizen of age between 19-25 years (as of January 18, 2012), you might be eligible to participate in Miss Nepal 2012 beauty contest.In addition to the said criteria participant should have a minimum academic qualification of 10+2 or equivalent.

To ensure beauty, the participants are required to have a minimum height of 5 ft 4 inches and should process attractive personality, sound health and good moral character.

The application should reach the organizers by 6 pm February 23, 2012 (Falgun 11, 2068). The application should also include two photos (one full length and one close-up) of a minimum size of 5”x7” photocopies of citizenship and academic certificates.

Astha Shrestha – Republica Miss Teen 2011

In the 10th Republica Miss Teen Nepal organized in Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi by Kathmandu Jaycees, 19-year-old Astha Shrestha was crowned the Miss Teen Nepal 2011 title. One of the 17 participants in the contest, Astha also won Miss Personality title.

The food technology student’s following answer to the judge’s question about her message to Nepali citizen won her the title:

We need to rise and fight and make Nepal a symbol of peace and prosperity.

Samriddhi Rai – Miss Toursim Queen International 2011

Samriddhi Rai represented Nepal in the Miss Tourism Queen International 2011 held recently in China. In the event, she was successful in winning a special award – Miss Personality. Bikini-clad Samriddhi looks beautiful receiving the award.

A gradate in Mass Communication and broadcast journalism, Samriddhi takes modeling and journalism parallely. Samriddhi is a sub-editor of a young people’s magazine, Teenz. She is also a reporter in Y magazine and The Kathmandu Post.
